Crystal Clear

My New Favorite
Since joining Etsy, my shopping eyes have been open to an abundance of new and beautiful jewelry. I've made one discovery that I continue to find throughout many of the sellers--something so simple and just plain beautiful. Large, clear, glass, sphere beads. Something about them catches my eye again and again. Here's some sellers that are utilizing this wonderful find!

Making pieces is the EASY part...

When I first decided to place my creations on the Internet for sale, the last thing I imagined was myself turning into an amateur photographer. (And, when I say "turning," I mean very, very, very slowly turning--almost to the point that you can't see any movement!)
Without a doubt, the hardest part of selling online is capturing the beauty of your products so that others may see. When you're in a store--it's right there. Touch it. Hold it. Hey, even try it on! But, through a computer screen, even the slightest wrong amount of flash can turn a beautiful bead into what looks like a ball of tar! So, point being...I've tried my hardest to revamp my shop...complete with NEW (and hopefully tar-free) pictures! Enjoy!!!

Thank you...and you!

A first timer!

I just want to say a huge "THANK YOU" to my first 2 Etsy customers! I've been on the site for just short of a month and have been putting in an abundance of effort to promote myself and have my pieces seen. And...this is the feeling I've been waiting for! It feels great to know that everything is moving along! Thank you...and thank you again!

Where everything takes place

Where my pieces originate, develop and reach completion.

At this time, I'm not fortunate enough to have a studio, per se. But, I am quite forutnate when it comes to having a wonderful, beautiful, loving home. A home, which as of now, is doubling as a workspace. (Want proof...there are constantly, on average, a total of 6 half consumed coffee cups and 8 sets of earrings laying throughout my home. An evidence trail left behind after chasing my 9 month old along his many daily voyages!)

But, here's a glimpse of where it all takes place--where my fingers and my mind go to work.

The beginning...

So, here's a little about me and all that I do...

For years, I have loved creating with my fingers. Whether through drawing, painting, writing or making jewelry--I easily describe myself as "creative." (But...painting and jewelry are, by far, my favorite means of expression!) Up until now, this creativity has been used primarily to enhance myself and my own possessions (ie: hmmm, blank space on the wall...I'll paint something to fill it; hmmm...I need earrings to wear with this dress...I'll make some!)

9 months ago, I introduced my baby son into the world--which, like with many mothers, means "bye-bye typical job!!!" For months I was lost. I was deeply in love with my son and family, but felt like I wasn't doing enough to provide them. (I know..."you're raising a child, that's the most important thing you can focus on...." Let's be honest, that wears off!) There comes a time where focus has to return back to the creator. For me, that time is now!

The focus of myself (and I constantly have to remind myself that such focus is, indeed, not selfish!!!) is displayed through my creations. And now I'm wanting to offer them to others as well.

Through my writing, you will see all that it takes for me to devote my time to making new items. I want your feedback (honesty counts for far more than a non-sincere "job well done"). And, I'll take as much support as you can give.

Thanks again for your interest. Don't forget to visit my store (http://www.bodytowall.etsy.com/).

Created by me, with you in mind....
